It was built before 1941. The temple's land is the land of Phu Phan Forest Park, Reclining Buddha Cave, located away from the Waritchaphum District Office to the west for about 16 kilometers. Currently, Phra Maha Sakchai Amaro is the abbot.
Inside the cave temple, there are important antiques such as Buddha images carved in stone on stone walls, ancient inscriptions, reclining Buddha images, Phra Nak Prok, old Buddha images, a pavilion, monks, dyeing houses, kitchens, multipurpose halls, reception houses.
At present, the abbot has been kept in the stone relics because many ancient pieces have been stolen and therefore, must be well preserved in order to be preserved for generations to come.
Reclining Buddha Cave Temple (Wat Tham Phra Thong), in the past, used to be a prosperous temple due to evidence that there were many things, such as Buddha images carved in stone on the walls of the cave, which have now been destroyed, leaving only one. There is also a stone inscription, which over the years has been read by experts and has been translated enough to understand that "in the 16th-century Buddhist lunar month, the year of the Marong, this place used to be a meeting of 31 sangha sects".
